  En pacientes con dolor toracico de perfil isquemico sin elevacion del ST y troponina normal, es posible estratificar el riesgo mediante el TIMI RISK SCORE
En el paciente con dolor torácico de perfil isquémico sin elevación del ST, la edad, la existencia de factores de riesgo, el grado de estenosis coronaria, el número de episodios de dolor torácico y la toma de AAS los días previos son factores que van a determinar el pronóstico.
  Pronostico (mortalidad) en infecciones severas (sepsis) desde urgencias.
El score MEDS permite clasificar a los pacientes en bajo, moderado y alto riesgo de mortalidad. Por encima del riesgo moderado, los LR positivos son de 2, hasta 6 en aquellos de muy alto riesgo (score mayor de 15)
  Un dimero D negativo puede descartar TPV sin otras exploraciones complementarias excepto en pacientes con sospecha clínica alta.
El VPN global es del 98%, pero en el grupo de alta probabilidad clínica desciende hasta 89,7%.
  El tratamiento ambulatorio del tep de bajo riesgo podría sustituir al ingreso hospitalario.

  La CPAP disminuye la mortalidad y las intubaciones en el EAP comparada con O2.
La CPAP comparada con el O2 en el edema agudo de pulmón evitaría una muerte por cada 9 (6-26) pacientes tratados y evitaría una intubación por cada 5(4-8) pacientes tratados.
